EXCITED to announce...............

...............................................
WE'RE EXPECTING BABY #3!!!
Taken @ 11 weeks!
This time around I found out @ only 5 weeks along which has made it almost impossible to not tell anyone!! I'm at 12 weeks today making my due date January 11th (2010!!!)......it seems forever away! The sweetest part about it all is that I found out on Mother's Day. It was a lovely gift from Austin (he said he knew :) I wonder why that is?). We laugh about it now!!
Kaydree and Brayden are so excited to find out if it's a brother or a sister. Kaydree insists it has to be a sister because Brayden can wait. It's funny to have them always coming up to me and touching my tummy(I feel like I'm showing already)! But it will be nice having almost a 3 year gap in-between and to have another addition to our family!!! We're growing!! It's kind-of scary thinking about 3 kids and only having two hands, but that's why we're given the title of "Supermom's" I guess!!
Oh, and we get to find out what we're having around Aug. 17th.........we'll keep you posted!!

Update: Thank you everyone!!

I OFFICIALLY made it!!!
After last weeks post I wasn't sure. Right after that Kaydree threw up again and continued through about Friday. Austin decided to all night and morning and he ended up sending himself home that day and slept it off. (And Yes, I took on the ol' bowl trick...about a 75% success rate!)
Now that summer is officially here (no rain for the past 2 days) we are PUMPED!!
Austin is up in Island Park all week(sleeping in a tent) while they are building a cabin so it's just me and the kiddos!!! Besides coaching the swim club 4 days a week, I haven't been up to too much of anything extravagant. Kind of nice to have this week a bit calmer than the past 3 weeks.

Here's just a few pictures of what we've been up to lately:
Our CRAZY non-stop weather! We went on lots of car rides!!
I took the kids to the mall one day just to let them play and to get out of the house!
At Grandma and Grandpa's house there is always something fun to do...this time they got to take a ride with grandpa while he mowed the lawn and one of their cats had baby kittens. So cute!! Look at how Brayden would carry them! :)
Last Saturday we went to the Rexburg Air Show. It was fun and loud!
And this was the enjoyable part for me.....the kids on the way home!
So sweet!!
Thanks again to everyone!! It's nice to have friends out there that care about all my craziness!!

The drama continues........HELP!!

OK, so first of all for all of you who do read my blog,(please leave a comment indicating you do, I feel neglected sometimes in wondering if I'm the only one really reading this :) Just say yes!) but I really am just writing this so I can look back and laugh at my crazy, sometimes hectic life.
Well, the last 2 posts were pretty dramatic and tramatic for me. I thought, "How can it possibly get worse?" I guess I shouldn't have even let it slip out b/c....well....it did.
On Friday night around midnight Brayden woke up screaming. When I got to his room, I knew what had happened (P-U!!!). He had vomited everywhere. So, I got Brayden out and got him out and into the bath where I attemted to keep myself under control. Thanks to Austin for doing the REAL dirty work. Then Austin laid on the couch layered with blankets with Brayden and watched Shrek with him until he fell asleep about 2 hours later. Right after(we're talking minutes) it happened again, Brayden threw up again all over himself, Austin, and the fresh blankets. So we get him all cleaned up again along with the living room(thank goodness we're renting in the meantime :) ). I have laundry still going from the first episode. This batch waiting to go into the washer. So then we made a bed on our floor by our bed where again, just about an hour later he threw up again...I was done. I cleaned him up, put the yucky blankets in the laundry room(mounded up) and went to bed.
The next morning we woke up early for an auction in Pocatello only to realize our power was out(from a big storm that night). So leaving the house with dark circles and unattended puked on everything in my laundry room we went. THE END
......................well, until about an hour ago. Kaydree was supposed to be taking a nap and she does what most 3-year olds do(my opinion)....she asks for a drink and then says she has to go to the bathroom, then it was I don't feel good. This went on every 5 mintues for almost an hour. I didn't know what I was going to do.....I had about lost my newly gained patience. And then.............it happened..............she puked all over( I mean all over), once in her room, in the bathroom, and then all over in the living room. REALLY!!!!! Can anybody catch me a break!!!!
I love my life (I really do, I've just been questioning it the past week or so). :)
Thanks for all your support though!!!! I think I can see the light!:)

Am I Really THE worst mommy ever???

After Braydens' mishap on Monday I thought I was free and clear of another one (thought).
Yesterday morning Kaydree woke up at the crack of dawn. I was having a lazy early morning so I told her to wait and give me 20 minutes and then I'd make her some breakfast. While making the kids breakfast she says, "Mommy, while you were getting ready guess what I did?".
That's when I knew I was in for something. She said, "I cut my hair with my scissors".
It caught me off guard since I hadn't really noticed it before. In the mix of her bed head I found a nice tappered look on both sides in front and a little bang. She somehow was so proud of herself. Now we really do teach our kids to not cut anything but paper, and I always prided myself in knowing that my child has never ever cut their hair before......but was I EVER wrong. I have to laugh now (today), but I really do feel like the worst mommy ever this week!!! No more WILL go wrong (I'm crossing my fingers!!!). Oh, and the scissors are banned for @ least a week. :)

This is one of the chunks I found.

{One Tough Little Cookie}

Yesterday we had quite an eventful afternoon. Brayden was running full throttle trying to grab his sippy cup when he ran straight into the side of the coffee table. That's when I heard a wet crack-like sound (kind of graphic I know). He hit the floor right after that and grabbed his forhead. There was blood everywhere. When I took his hand off I realized he had a huge gash above his eyebrow. I could see part of skull and that's when I knew we needed to go. He started screaming when he saw the blood and we all made a dash to the Urgent Care. Austin and his dad were on their way back from a job in Island Park and were trying to meet me there along with Austin's mom who was coming to pick Kaydree up for me. We all made it there and everyone helped us out. In the meantime I was feeling bad for Brayden and felt so rushed while waiting because yesterday was the 1st day of my swim club starting back up. I had to be there early to orientate and coach the kids.
But we all made it!! And Brayden was so brave.
He must have eaten half a dozen suckers while getting all sewn up!! The doctor even gave him some pop afterwards (definitely a highlight for Brayden). :)
But I have to say he is one tough cookie!!
While waiting in the waiting room Kaydree kept her arm around Brayden and told him, "Don't worry Brayden, the doctor's will make everything ok". It was so sweet.
The most painful part of it all, the numbing cream!
One Tough Cookie!!!

Randomness & {I love my kids!}

Our little sister, Aerika, graduated from High School last Thursday. We are so proud of her!!

And our photogenic kids!! :) {After sitting over 2 hours}

On Saturday, Austin and his friend went jetskiing. I hung out at the beach area with the kids. When it was the kids' turn to take a ride, they were pros!! They didn't want to come home.

Thank goodness we did. Right over the mountain we saw this..... a HUGE dust storm!!

And last but not least.....my crazy kids!! Gotta love em'!!
These were taken this morning.

The 5 Minute Chocolate Cake For 1 Person

5 MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE

4 tablespoons flour
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
A small splash of vanilla extract
1 large coffee mug (MicroSafe)
Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well.
Add the egg and mix thoroughly.
Pour in the milk and oil and mix well..
Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla extract, and mix again.
Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts. The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed! Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired.

EAT!! (this can serve 2 if you want to feel slightly more virtuous).
And why is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world? Because now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any time of the day or night!
Thanks for the recipe Tamia!!

Memorial Day

Every Memorial Day we visit the cemetaries of those close to us who have passed. It's always such a great time to remember them and to spend time with family. We always BBQ, ride the 4 wheelers, and hang out as a family.

Kamryn visiting her older sister and brother. It's such a sweet time to visit our sister's kids at the cemetary. After explaining to Kaydree that her 2 cousins passed away because they were too little and went to live with Heavenly Father she said, "But I wanted to play with them". We told her that she probably did before she came here to live with us and we know she will get to play with them again someday. What a sweet thought.

The kids always add some cute decorations. We added a bunch of pinwheels and Kaydree and Brayden made them some pictures and put them on popsicle sticks. The pictures were before we added everything.

Older sister Mckinna, 9 days old

Older brother Kurtis, 5 days old. He doesn't have a headstone quite yet.

After all of our festivities were over we went to the store and bought the kids a doughnut. Brayden's was blue........do I need to say more. It looked and acted like paint. :) He told me it was so yummy. That's all that counts!!! Oh, and I can't forget to mention his best pal, "Blue Bear".

We bought Land!!!

This past Friday we splurged and bought some LAND for our new future home!! We are so excited!! It's 3 acres(not 10 like we originally wanted, we realized it would be way too much work!) and is perfect for my yard, gardens, play area, shop, cows, horses, dogs, cats, and whatever else we think we may need later on. It's not too far away from our past houses and is located in Ucon/Idaho Falls, east of the highway off of 65th and 129th. There are just a few houses on the mile block and it's very peaceful. We even get to have a bridge to cross the ditch/canal. :)

Here's what else we've been up to:

On Friday we sodded our last house...and yes, I'm jealous. :)

I'm sure our old neighbors love us!
We also finished our downstairs mantle and handrail!

Brayden had fun driving the new homeowners car
while we laid sod! Thanks guys!
And yes, Kaydree finally learned to pedal forwards!!
This is our neighbor's horse, Wendy. The kids love her!!

Our 20x20 Garden before:

Austin's idea of tilling! :)

And Brayden and Daddy playing around diggin' up more holes!!
After pics. to come.......

Awesomeness v. Not-so-awesomeness

Awesomeness describes this:
My old hairdryer which I had for only around 10 months just quit working one day, so I thought I'd try my luck and called Conair telling them all about my dilemma and upcoming dlemmas due to this tragedy.......and for only $3 they sent me this in the mail!!!!!!!!
YAY!! And it's PINK!!
Not-so-awesomeness describes this:
2 kids, 4 days, non-stop puking, non-stop diarhea, a smelly house, a puked on daddy, mommy, carseat, car, rug, carpet, sink, 5 x bedding, 6+ loads of laundry(does not include everyday laundry), tons of crying, no eating, gallons of 7 up, a million cartoons and movies,
and a doctor who says,
"Oh, it's just a stomach virus".....HELP!!!!! Will it ever end!!!!!!

Trip to Utah

Our trip to Utah this week turned out to be pretty fun! Austin's brother is doing well now after having to have his heart surgery twice since the first one didn't go as well and he is home now starting the recovery process. He is such a brave kid! Primary's is such a beautiful hospital and is made fun for every one. The kids had a blast there.

His brother Aaron always gets the hook up: a doctor of his had a connection to East High of Highschool musical and was able to get him a hat, shirt, sweatshirt, backback, varsity letter, and more. He loves that movie!!!

We stayed in hotels while there and the kids really enjoyed swimming and staying up late eating popcorn and watching cartoons and animal planet (since we still use rabbit ears).

We made a trip to the mall too and actually let the kids play on the toys!! I don't want to make it a habit though. :)

We were able to visit my sister Traci and go to the park. Traci and I also went to my all time favoritest place ever TAIPAN!! and I managed to not buy anything for myself...I do have big plans for when my house is finished though :).

Kind of a scary pic of me!! Sorry!!

And then Friday we headed up to Logan for Austin's cousin Amanda's sealing, and it was such a beautiful day!!!

The 3 grandkids!

Kaydree and cousin Kamryn

And the best for Last!! MY HOT hubby!!
