{Surviving Baby's First Week and 100th Post!!}

I can officially say that we've made it through the 1st week!!
Jaxton has been such a huge blessing to our family. He's been an extremely good baby and is really content until he's either hungry or getting his diaper changed. He even slept for 5 1/2 hours straight last night!! Oh, I just love him to pieces!
This was taken @ 3 days old!
Thanks for the hand mittens Noelle!!
His cute, teensy feet
He really is a little guy...just look @ his tiny fingers
And bath time......definitely not his favorite :)
And I couldn't resist taking these.
The poutsy face.......
The thankful/traumatized face....
I gladly took on the task of staying at home by myself this week with the kids. We had a great time....now if only I could feel that way about going out into public. :) One night the kids were playing down in the basement and they were unusally quiet. This is what I found.........they had gotten into a dust/dirt pile in the mechanical room and found it to be quite pleasurable. A friend of mine gave me advice to take pics whenever something happens like this so instead of having an emotional melt down I can laugh about it instead. I'm still laughing too!!
And last night......"I'm so glad when daddy gets home...."
We are now onto the task of finishing up the last on our house and I'm onto the role of decorating and unpacking. I'll post pics soon of the finished product!! And horray for my 100th post!!!

{Our Newest Addition!!.........He's Here!}

Jaxton Lavon Farmer
Born Thursday, Jan. 7th @5:31 PM
8 pounds 8 ounces, 21 1/2 inches long

In all his glory! :)

I went into the hospital Thursday morning to be induced. When I got there and the doctor checked me he said that the labor process had already started but that I need to be put on pitocin anyway to speed up the process since my body wasn't progressing fast enough. When the contractions were really going towards the end Jaxton's heart rate would drop significantly, so we were told that the cord was probably around his neck and that we didn't need to worry too much. When he was delivered, we learned and saw this....the cord was in a complete knot. The doctor said that this was a miracle that he had survived because it almost always ends in a still birth. So he's our little miracle. :) If we would have waited another day or two he might not have made it. I was pretty emotional and thankful.

This was taken right after the delivery.

Daddy and his boy!

Dr. Watson- we love him!! Austin and him were giving up hope on me because @ 6pm was the BCS championship game and they threatened to make me wait to deliver until half time if he didn't come before then. :)
Our nurse Lael!! She was awesome!
Our other nurse Fay and the kids giving him his first bath.

Kaydree and Jaxton
Our newest family photo!!!

Getting ready to leave the hospital

All dressed up. We sure did have to bundle up!!

Last picture before leaving and waiting for our van to heat up.
And this......the unthinkable happened to us on the way home. A 83 year old lady pulled out in front of us on the highway going home. Luckily Austin swerved out of the way enough to miss hitting her and hit the back end of her car. My NEW van is ruined for now but really it saved our lives. I was emotional already but everyone was safe and the old lady was too. But it was so scary!! Jaxton slept through the whole ordeal and is truly a miracle baby!!
But we're all doing good and we have survived our first 3 days as a family of 5!! :) I love being a mommy!!

{Our BABY'S big Debut..............}

We're heading to the hospital for a scheduled induction @ 7:30am tomorrow morning. After going into the doctor's on Monday and hearing that the past few weeks of contractions have
been doing nothing and then having my sciatic nerve being blocked by the baby and hobbling around everywhere in pain for the past weekthe doctor says he has to come out. So, ready or not....he's making His GRAND appearance tomorrow! Hopefully by the time we get to the hospital my body will have made some progress. We're crossing our fingers because induction is SO not fun! But we are excited to meet the newest addition to our growing family. We're going to be a family of 5!! That's crazy!!
And here are the kids just hanging around today excited to meet their NEW brother!!
And sadly :) the last prego pic. Taken today
@ 39 weeks 2 days!!

Holiday Recap

The holiday season came and went so fast this year. In the midst of building a home, preparing for a baby, trying to move, and get ready for the holidays........it just flew by. But we TRULY had a great Christmasand a wonderful time with family. The kids really enjoyed themselves and
have been fabulous troopers through it all!!

Kaydree and Brayden all ready for bed in their new Christmas PJ's and slippers.
For Christmas Eve, we always head to Austin's parent's house for a nice dinner, gifts, reading of the true Christmas story from the bible and a song. It always turns out to be so much fun!!
Kaydree all dressed up in a gift from her Aunt Amber.

All of us laughing at Brayden's reaction to a toy
bowling set from his Uncle Aaron.

And a oh so lovely pic of me and my crush Jacob from
the New Moon movie. It's become a joke within the fam.
(By far my favorite gift :))

And Christmas day......
Santa brought Brayden and helicopter "with buttons".
And Kaydree a new stroller.

Santa also brought us some snow tubes which we all took full advantage of. It was a peaceful (and a tab bit nippy out) day. Since my parents spent Christmas with us this year we thought we'd head up to a local ski hill by our home. And let me tell ya....it was so much fun!!

Here's my dad with Brayden.
And for kick's and giggles....my mom!! :) (she was hauling some
you know what!! )

Brayden sledding all by himself.

Kaydree sledding. She HAD to go all by herself.
She even hiked up with the tube. :)
And I HAD to try it just ONCE...Austin decided I needed more
speed though....hence the scared to death face. :)

Austin and Brayden trying new heights!
The Sunday after Christmas we all headed to Ogden for my
sister's baby's blessing.
And for Christmas, Santa brought me a NEW camera. So I sat there and this is a snapshot of me at 38 weeks from my point of view!! Yes, I know I look lop-sided. It always happens!! But kind of a fun pic!!
