My BIG Boy and my new hobby

Since last Monday when Brayden's pacifier mysteriously:)

disappeared, Brayden has grown up so much! I'm not

the type to buy things very often for my kids but when we found these

4 wheelers, he fell in love. He loves to go 4 wheeling!!

Then yesterday, he decides that it's time to wear his big boy underwear.

He's not potty trained yet.....that's a working progress, but Wed night he went in

the toilet on his own! YAY!! I had to take this pic of him strutting his stuff!!

As for my NEW hobby.....I love to refinish things!!

This bookshelf was only $4!!

And with a little TLC, sanding, and 3 coats of paint......it looks like this.......

I decided not to antique it just yet but Kaydree loves it!!

Girl's Weekend, Prego Pic,......

This weekend all of us Girl's headed off to Salt Lake City for a

much needed Girls' Weekend!

We went to Taipan(my fave), shopped, ate, shopped some more, stayed up late, went swimming, and relaxed.....it was super fun besides the 97 degree weather!!

Kaydree got into the shopping spirit...trying on things and picking out her favorites for everyone else!

She rode the carousel twice!!

And HAD to ride the snowmobile for Daddy!! :)

On our last night we headed to Temple square and went on a horse carriage ride!

I've always wanted too and we all figured why not!! The carriage was brand new and even had white lights underneath!

And I made it.......I'M HALF WAY!!! Let the countdown begin!

And my mom is the BEST!! I got these outfits in the mail last week and can

hardly wait to take pictures of the kids wearing them!!!

Since Austin's been in Island Park working...we decided to do some crafts!!

Oh and our new milestone this past week:

NO MORE PACIFIERS!!! Brayden's cured!! Now it's on to Potty Training...Yikes!!

IT'S A........

Our ultrasound this morning showed a healthy baby boy around half a pound(seems so little still)! We are so excited for this new baby to be a part of our family and Brayden's so excited to share a room with his new brother. Kaydree's still insisting it really is a baby sister but we think she's getting all jazzed to have her own "big sister room". He's definitely a squirmer though and doesn't like to have his picture taken. He kept crossing his arms over his face and rolling onto his opposite side. Too funny. But we'll go in for another ultrasound around 27 weeks. Thanks to everyone for voting. 21 of you were right. :)

The Simple Joys

So if you know anything about me.....I love to organize and clean.

This pretty much goes for all things, including my kids!
There's nothing better than a fresh smelling child.

Well today and the past week.....things have changed. Austin's been working up in Island Park a lot and sleeping there in order to get a cabin finished up by the Sept 1st deadline(he's such a hard worker), so let's just say that at times I feel a little burnt out (not complaining though).

So a few out of the ordinary things might have slipped through my fingers.......

Like this......."Mommy, can I help do my own hair?"

OR this.........."can we play in the knee deep mud?"

(Our neighbors just had a well put in)

My FUN mom reply, "SURE, GO FOR IT."

I love my kids and being a mom, a NICE mom. There's NO greater joy. I promise!

Oh, and only 1 1/2 days!!

{One Week Left!!}

I can hardly wait!! Only 1 week until the BIG ONE!!

Will it be a boy or a girl???

Summer Lovin'

Summer is here!!

At least it finally has begun officially feeling like it!!

We love to go boating in the summertime. There are so many places to go within an 3-60 minute drive and we really enjoy it. We invited our friends, the Hodges to go with us this time and ended up at Palisades and had a great time!! The kids had a fun time too!!

The Chuckars are our minor leauge team here(for the ROYALS) and

businesses are always giving out free tickets....so we've been twice already!!

And Kaydree finally built up her courage this year to meet "THE Chuckar".

Brayden and candy...........can always be found together :)

{July, summer fun, and Family}

I haven't posted in awhile because we've been having so much fun!!!!! Here are just a few pics to highlight our fun!

My mom and dad drove up from CA to visit us for the 4th of July! We had a lot of fun even though the time flew by. I love all that 4th of July brings!!

My aunt and uncle came to visit us too on their way back to CA from a family reunion in Canada. We went out to dinner and then invited ourselves to go swimming @ their hotel. The pool was 90*!! Thanks "Udy" and "Ennis"!

A little while ago, my friend Noelle and I also took our kids to the spray park in Rexburg(it's FREE) and then took the kids on the carousel for only a $1. We try to get together at least every week and do something fun with the kids for summer time. The kids had a blast even though Kaydree wasn't too sure about the water slides!

And on Saturday we took the kids up to Island Park where Austin's building a cabin and took the kids fishing. It was a lot of fun minus the no bug spray part. I have welts everywhere!!! Afterwards we went to Mesa Falls to see the waterfalls!

Brayden loved throwing the worms back in!!
