{A Whole Lot've Summer Fun!}

WARNING: A whole lot've pictures and having fun!!!
This summer I've hopped on the band wagon and started doing races again!! Last week my sister-law, me, and my cousin ran a 5K. It was a lot of fun!! Even though my time wasn't the greatest it's ever been I managed to take 2nd overall for women.

The kids had fun playing at the park by the finish line
and putting on a parade with grandpa for us all to watch!! :)

Last month I was able to run a half marathon!!!!! And I did it!!!
Besides hearing and thinking a tore something in my knee, I finished and did pretty well!!!! It was really rewarding to finish after all the training and sacrifice and help
from Austin watching the kids!! (He forgot to take a picture during
the race so this was taken afterwards...eek!!)

This week our stake held it's pioneer celebration!!!
This was taken on the horse carraige ride!!

The kids did chicken chases,

trout-catching bare-handed,

horse rides,

watermelon eatin' :),

and a fave- muttin' bustin' (sheep riding)!!! The kids
were nervous but they both managed to do well!!! This is
what Idaho kids do!!!! Free Fun!!!

And our little Jaxton has managed to start the
crawling process @ just 6 1/2 months!! He can manuever
himself wherever he wants to go now!! Kaydree and
Brayden didn't start crawling until around 8 months!!

And Saturday, the Blue Angels performed @ the Idaho Falls airport so we went to watch. While waiting the kids(Austin included) held their own airplane show!! :) The Blue Angels were
amazing!!! Here are a few pics I managed to snap of the F-16's passing by!!!

{A hiking we will go...and off to the park!!}

Austin got home early from working yesterday so we
decided to go for a hike nearby our house. It was a
fun little hike and all 5 us made it!! The views of our
backyard were amazing!!
The Snake River

Earlier yesterday while Kaydree was at a birthday party, I took Brayden and Jaxton to play at the park by the Jefferson rodeo grounds! It's a fun little place with caves, tunnels, and slides. Brayden loved it!!! While there, a group of kids who had been doing a service project for scouts were waiting for their mom to come back and pick them up and were playing. It was just me and all the kids. A guy drove by and got out and yelled over to the kids, "Come on and get in". They were a little older like 11, 9, and 6 i'm guessing. Any way, the boys took off running and hid in one of the caves. The man turned around hopped into his truck and took off. The kids told me that they didn't know who that man was. So I called the police. I remembered everything except the license #!! It was pretty scary!! Our neighborhood is the safest of anywhere that I know of!! But before that all happened we had a great time!!! :)

{Out Of State.....for a day!!!}

This weekend we headed down to Orem and went to a funeral
for Austin's great Aunt. It was so fun to visit and hear stories
from his relatives from back in the day!! It was a last minute
trip but we were able to take the kids to a splash park in
Highland, of course hit up Cabella's, hang out with our close
friends the Newman's, and visit my sister in Ogden!!! It was a
fun day trip!!! Here are some pics from her place and her little
girl who is about 7 weeks older then Jaxton!!

I wasn't able to make the pics bigger :(

{4th, Boating, and Half A Year}

What would summer be without 4th of July???
I love this time of year! It's finally getting warm(minus the 48
degree weather at breakfast held at the church that morning :)),
we get to spend the entire weekend with friends and family, bust the
boat and jet skis out, hold our annual football/softball games, go to the parade,
watch the greatest firework show ever!!!, and set off some fireworks of our own!!!!
And we of course wore our 4th of July shirts(thanks mom!)!!!!

Another attempt @ a family photo :)
I'm not giving up!!!

Aerika, Jon(her boyfriend :)), and Aaron

Boating and Jet skiing was of course a favorite minus the crazy wind!!! :)
Brayden is quite obssessed with this particular jet ski!! How can you turn
down this sweet face?? :)

And usually our back yard is empty this time of year as they all head up the
mountain for the summer. But this Doe was right there last night to greet us.
I don't think we could ever get tired of seeing this. We love living out here!!

AND I'm sad to say that Jaxton had his half birthday yesterday!!!!
No, it's a good thing!! He's such a lady's man already and is growing up so fast!!
He's now 17 pounds 4 1/2 ounces(47%)
and 27 inches long(70%)

He started doing some 360's on the floor,
he holds his hands out when he wants to be held,
has mastered the walker and running over people's toes,
loves to EAT...food now too!!!
has only woken up once a night for the past 2 nights(instead of 3-4!!),
He makes everyone he sees smile!!!! And..... WE love him!!!!

Hope everyone had a good weekend like we did!!!!
