{I'm Back!!}

We had quite the summer!!
  • We made it back from the Philippines and had an awesome trip(pics to come soon!)
  • Spent a week in CA with my family, had family pics taken from my best friend in high school (laurenskousenphotography.com), attended the wedding of my cousin John and his wife Sandie!
  • Came home to a flooded basement(thanks to our neighbor flood irrigating and not telling us until the 11 days it took for us to find it)!
  • Back to school.... for me that is! Finishing my prereqs(4.0) to get into the nursing program at BYUI.
  • Coaching Swim again!
  • Hanging out with the kiddos! Jaxton is almost walking already, Brayden has become the hard one and is ALL boy, and Kaydree is my little/big girl all in one and gets invited to parties and friend's houses all the time!!
  • Working on our yard!! What a huge job! We put a few landscaping rocks in, planted some plants, and put an archway up in the entryway! Oh, and we finished our formal room(not done decorating yet).

Austin and I decided to take a couple pics of just us....
it's been awhile!!

{Leavin' on a jet plane.....}

We're heading off this week to visit family in CA and then we're headed back to the Philippines!!!!! We are so excited!!!! We're leaving the kiddos behind to have fun in CA with Grandma and Grandpa while Austin, myself, his mom and dad and little sister Aerika are all coming with us!!!! We are so excited....minus all the preparation, 13 hour drive, and the 18 hour flight!!! These are just some pics of the things we have planned......
Visit all the waterfalls(Austin took this pic), and hike or swim to caves, snorkeling,
parasailing, kayaking, see some cathedrals, lay in hammocks, and of course Island Hopping!!!!
We are also going to visit the NEW temple in Cebu that
opened in June!!!! It's beautiful!!!

We love the people in Cebu and are so excited to visit with them and show Austin's family what all he did on his mission!!!! And of course enjoy some much needed R&R!!! (Thanks to my parents for taking on a big task!!) It's such a beautiful yet humbling place!!!! We are so excited!!!
Stay tuned for pics and stories from our trip!!! (And NO, I will not be eating Balut no matter what or who bribes me!!! :) )

{A Whole Lot've Summer Fun!}

WARNING: A whole lot've pictures and having fun!!!
This summer I've hopped on the band wagon and started doing races again!! Last week my sister-law, me, and my cousin ran a 5K. It was a lot of fun!! Even though my time wasn't the greatest it's ever been I managed to take 2nd overall for women.

The kids had fun playing at the park by the finish line
and putting on a parade with grandpa for us all to watch!! :)

Last month I was able to run a half marathon!!!!! And I did it!!!
Besides hearing and thinking a tore something in my knee, I finished and did pretty well!!!! It was really rewarding to finish after all the training and sacrifice and help
from Austin watching the kids!! (He forgot to take a picture during
the race so this was taken afterwards...eek!!)

This week our stake held it's pioneer celebration!!!
This was taken on the horse carraige ride!!

The kids did chicken chases,

trout-catching bare-handed,

horse rides,

watermelon eatin' :),

and a fave- muttin' bustin' (sheep riding)!!! The kids
were nervous but they both managed to do well!!! This is
what Idaho kids do!!!! Free Fun!!!

And our little Jaxton has managed to start the
crawling process @ just 6 1/2 months!! He can manuever
himself wherever he wants to go now!! Kaydree and
Brayden didn't start crawling until around 8 months!!

And Saturday, the Blue Angels performed @ the Idaho Falls airport so we went to watch. While waiting the kids(Austin included) held their own airplane show!! :) The Blue Angels were
amazing!!! Here are a few pics I managed to snap of the F-16's passing by!!!

{A hiking we will go...and off to the park!!}

Austin got home early from working yesterday so we
decided to go for a hike nearby our house. It was a
fun little hike and all 5 us made it!! The views of our
backyard were amazing!!
The Snake River

Earlier yesterday while Kaydree was at a birthday party, I took Brayden and Jaxton to play at the park by the Jefferson rodeo grounds! It's a fun little place with caves, tunnels, and slides. Brayden loved it!!! While there, a group of kids who had been doing a service project for scouts were waiting for their mom to come back and pick them up and were playing. It was just me and all the kids. A guy drove by and got out and yelled over to the kids, "Come on and get in". They were a little older like 11, 9, and 6 i'm guessing. Any way, the boys took off running and hid in one of the caves. The man turned around hopped into his truck and took off. The kids told me that they didn't know who that man was. So I called the police. I remembered everything except the license #!! It was pretty scary!! Our neighborhood is the safest of anywhere that I know of!! But before that all happened we had a great time!!! :)
