{End of Summer!!!~ August}

AUGUST was about a whole lot of fun before fall and the school year.....and well...I think we pretty much COVERED that!!! :)

 

On August 4th, Austin and I, his parents, 2 sisters, and brother in law all hiked up Palisades lakes...there were so many spectacular views. We ended up hiking a total of 11 miles!! 

 

 On the 11th, Austin's cousin Emily took Kaydree and I on our 1st ever float trip!!!

I have been dying to go for the past 8 years! We floated along the dry bed (our back yard) for a few miles....it was a ton of fun!

 

August 16th the kids and I drove up to Island Park for the day to visit Daddy at work building a cabin and to take a swim in the lake :) 

 

 

 

On August 20th we took a family trip down to Lagoon!!!

The kids had a blast and are getting tall enough that they are able to ride on a lot of rides!!

 

 

 

Brayden started playing NFL flag football and loves it!! He is on the Minnesota Vikings!!

 

 

Jaxton and our dog Marley have become quite good friends....

he walks around saying "come here boy" :)

 

On August 27th, my twin sister Traci went into have a double masectomy to get rid of the stage 3 breast cancer she learned she had......it was a bittersweet day. We are glad she is doing much better now :)

 

 Kaydree and her best friend Kiah......We spent at least one day a week for the whole summer with her and her mom and little sister. They have become such good friends of ours :)

That's right!! School has begun!!! This was meet the teacher day on August 30th.

Brayden is in Kindergarten with Mrs. Garrido (Mrs. G)

 

Kaydree is now in 1st grade!!!! She has Mrs. Richardson

 

There is the rest of our summer in a nutshell!!!! :)



{4th of July~ness}

July was so much fun!!! It started off with celebrating my very good friend's 40th birthday up in Island Park. Boys will be boys and the older boys decided to hunt down a squirrel....Brayden and Bradyn were thrilled to be the recipients of the eyeballs!! hehe

4th of July is always a fun filled day,,,starting with the parade! The sun was right in their eyes for this pic :)

Waiting for the fireworks and sun to go down we enjoyed some sno cones :)

Two days after we headed to CA to move my parents up here to Idaho!!! They sold their house in one week!! It happened all so fast! They are living with us until Austin completes building their new home!.......We of course had to make a mini family vacation so we headed to San Diego and Sea World :)

Kaydree had to pose by the cinderella horse and carriage :)

And what a happy ending to any long fun filled day :) Priceless!

Sea World was a blast!! It wasn't even crowded and Kaydree, Brayden, and I braved it and went on the Rapids ride where we got soaked :)

We made a quick stop at the San Diego Temple before heading back home :)

It was a short trip in CA and a long 23hr haul back home with our truck, 30ft trailer, and my parents whole life :) But we made it back all safe :)

 

Kaydree continued with dance doing the summer session and still loves it!

Jaxton turned 2 1/2 this month and started it out with his own idea of not wanting to take naps or go to sleep at night.......he would rather keep me company. Who can resist this cute face?? :)

We finally made it to the spray park this year!! We have been to Rigby Lake a couple times a week for the whole summer but they sure enjoyed the slides here :)

{June 12'}

June happened oh so fast!!! It was full of TBALL!! :)

It was Brayden's second year and he rocked! He was so good at it too!

take them in and out in 5mins! :)

{The day has FINALLY arrived!!!}

I'M BACK!!! It has been 4 months in the making :) I didn't realize how busy everything had gotten around here until I looked at my last post and realized it was from Jaxton's birthday in January :(

So here is a recap :

JANUARY

School started back up for Kaydree and Winter semester started back up for me. Jaxton turned 2 (see previous post) and Austin took me on a drive to Utah to look for what I thought was going to be a new van.....but when we showed up at the dealership this was waiting for me!!!! I love that man :) It's so beautiful with all black leather interior too....it's so fun to be able to take this with us and pull trailers instead of his big loud truck :)

FEBRUARY
Austin's birthday was on the 1st and played out the same as usual with no celebrations :( He's really not enjoying the growing up process and says he doesn't want to get old.....but it's still gonna happen :) We partied it up at home with the kids by making pizza and playing wii bowling!

Superbowl was an adventurous day! We were all just about to walk out the door to head to a superbowl party at the theatre where his brother works when we heard Jaxton let out a huge wail and then a cry like none other to find this:

It looks like a pair of scissors cut right through his ear. Kaydree and Jaxton were playing tug of war with a tube of chapstick when he flew back into the brick fireplace spliting his ear right open.....a few minutes later he conked out sleeping which scared me the most worrying about head trauma. The doctor had to sedate him to keep him still which was weird to see.

And here it is.....It is hardly noticable today...

MARCH

Kaydree turned 6!! I can hardly believe it either! She is such a pretty little girl! She had a little party in "outer space" AKA Blast Off with our carpool group and then we had a family party at home.

The kids and their cousin Kamryn...before Kaydree's birthday they were 5,4,3,and 2 years old :)

We had a Hawaiin party and Kaydree really wanted a flower cake :)

APRIL

This year we headed west of Rigby to Menan to their annual Easter Egg Hunt...the kids had so much fun collecting their prizes and drinking their chocolate milk :)

Brayden turned 5!!! This birthday has been a long time in the making!! For some reason 5 has been the number for him....because he gets to start kindergarten in a few months!! We did kindergarten shots and registration and he was so excited!!

For his birthday we invited 3 of his friends and went out to pizza and then hit the bowling alley for some fun!!

Breakfast in bed....I even had to wake him up :)

Brayden's primary teacher stopped by to give him a birthday gift(she is soooo sweet) and took a picture of us :)

My attempt at a pirate cake..haha...I didn't have anything I needed so we had to get creative :)
It didn't quite make it to the bowling alley either :(

I also found out that I was ACCEPTED into the nursing program!! I don't start until January though which is okay because that means no school for 8 months :)....I also got a job working full time in the ER from 7pm to 7am 3 nights a week (which has proved to be too much for me with getting less and less sleep so I'm trying to move to 2 nights)....but everyone is doing super good and Austin is staying a super busy building homes!
AND...Jaxton has even started to talk (and alot)!!
